Premiere Events Online
The site for Premiere Events Online was a rather large and intensive website, due to the sheer volume of inventory that needed to be added to the site, and the amount of information that needed to be made available to the bride.
There were several concerns with their website – the most important were that it used flash (and was unable to be seen on most smartphones), was on a Wix platform (which didn’t have enough functionality and caused the site to look outdated), was difficult for their clients to navigate, the shopping cart function was not working properly, and there was no way to gather customer data.
*First we looked at the overall style of the old site and decided to bring their site design up to date by using a full frame style and taking advantage of the full height and width of the web page for images, instead of the box style from before. This gives the new site a clean bright modern appearance.
*We took them off of the old Wix platform and built a new WordPress website, and added WooCommerce.
*All pages were made easily accessible from the home page, so you don’t have to click through several categories of items to get to what you want. When your mouse rolls over the tabs, each category of items is displayed. No more super long drop down boxes or multiple clicks to get to what you’re looking for! It also gives the bride an immediate glimpse of what types of items can be rented there, leading to selling additional items and avoiding frustration in not knowing what you’re looking for.
*We decided to change the categories when selecting linens. In the old site you could only select by type of linen, while most brides would prefer to search by color. In the new site, you can search by color, linen type, and even by collection.
*”Related Projects” – this was added to the site so that when a guest is looking at linens it may suggest that she also view chairs, or napkins, or forks. It is set to randomly generate related items based on her searches and products viewed.
*A custom quote builder was added to make it easy for brides to drop items into a shopping cart. The guest can add items, and when they would like to view the price, it prompts them to enter their contact information. The guest is unable to view the total price without going through this step. This helps Premiere Events to be able to contact the client after their visit to help them officially place their order.
*Because today’s bride is very visual (gotta love Pinterest!) an Idea Generator was added that has photographs of place settings and events, with a listing of what is in each photograph that can be rented from them. A picture of each item and a link to each is available for them to easily copy that style and add the items to their shopping cart.
*A price catalog button was added for current clients, such as event planners, to easily access pricing, when needed.
